Apple Pie Bombs (Print Version)
Ingredients:
01 -
1 (16.3 oz) can Grands “Big” biscuits, flaky.
02 -
1 (21 oz) can apple pie filling or caramel apple pie filling.
03 -
1 cup granulated sugar.
04 -
1 tbsp ground cinnamon.
05 -
Vegetable oil for frying.
Instructions:
01 -
In a small bowl, combine granulated sugar and cinnamon. Set aside for coating.
02 -
Fill a heavy-bottomed pot halfway with vegetable oil and heat to 325°F (163°C). The oil should be deep enough to cover the dough balls completely.
03 -
Open the can of biscuits and separate each biscuit into halves. Flatten each piece of dough using your fingers or a rolling pin.
04 -
Add 1 tbsp of apple pie filling to the center of each circle. Pinch the edges to seal, then roll into a ball.
05 -
Using a slotted spoon, carefully lower 2-3 dough balls into the hot oil. Fry for about 5 minutes, rolling them around to cook evenly until golden brown.
06 -
Remove the pie bombs from the oil and immediately toss them in the cinnamon sugar mixture to coat evenly.
07 -
For extra indulgence, serve warm with vanilla ice cream or drizzle with caramel sauce.
