Apple Cinnamon Rolls (Print Version)

Ingredients:

01 - 1 can refrigerated cinnamon rolls (with icing included).
02 - 3 medium apples, peeled and diced.
03 - 2 tbsp unsalted butter.
04 - 2 tbsp brown sugar.
05 - 1 tsp ground cinnamon.
06 - ¼ tsp ground nutmeg.
07 - 1 tbsp lemon juice.
08 - ½ cup powdered sugar.
09 - 1 tbsp milk.
10 - ¼ tsp vanilla extract.

Instructions:

01 - In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Stir and cook for 5-7 minutes until the apples soften and the mixture becomes caramelized. Allow the apple filling to cool slightly.
02 - Preheat the oven according to the cinnamon roll package instructions.
03 - Slightly unroll each cinnamon roll and spoon a portion of the apple filling onto the dough. Roll the dough back up and place the rolls into a greased baking dish.
04 - Bake the rolls according to the package directions, typically 15-18 minutes, until golden brown.
05 - While the rolls are baking, mix the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a bowl to create a smooth glaze. Adjust the milk to achieve your desired consistency.
06 - Once the rolls are baked and have cooled slightly, drizzle with the included icing from the package or your homemade glaze.
07 - Enjoy the warm, gooey fusion of apple pie and cinnamon rolls!.

Notes:

01 - Allow the apple filling to cool slightly before spreading it on the dough to prevent it from being too runny.
02 - You can use either the included icing or the homemade glaze, depending on your preference.
