Caramel Apples (Print Version)

Ingredients:

01 - 8-10 medium apples (washed and dried).
02 - 22 oz (2 bags) individually wrapped caramel candies.
03 - 4 tbsp milk, half-and-half, or heavy cream.
04 - Assorted toppings (chocolates, sprinkles, nuts, etc.).

Instructions:

01 - Insert sticks into each apple and place them in the freezer while preparing the caramel.
02 - In a heavy saucepan, melt the unwrapped caramels with milk over medium-low heat, stirring constantly until smooth and creamy.
03 - Dip each apple into the caramel, covering it completely. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
04 - Immediately refrigerate the caramel-coated apples to set.
05 - If desired, decorate the apples with drizzled chocolate, sprinkles, or nuts. Refrigerate again until the chocolate hardens.
06 - Keep the apples refrigerated until ready to serve.
