Caramel Chocolate Chunk Brownies (Print Version)

Ingredients:

01 - 1 cup unsalted butter, melted.
02 - 2 cups sugar.
03 - 4 large eggs.
04 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
05 - 1 cup all-purpose flour.
06 - 1 cup cocoa powder.
07 - ½ teaspoon salt.
08 - 1 cup chocolate chunks.
09 - 1 cup caramel sauce.
10 - Sea salt flakes (optional).

Instructions:

01 - Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking pan with parchment paper for easy removal.
02 - In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and sugar until smooth. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, stirring well to combine.
03 - Sift the flour, cocoa powder, and salt into the wet mixture. Stir until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
04 - Gently fold in the chocolate chunks, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.
05 - Spread half of the brownie batter evenly into the prepared pan. Drizzle the caramel sauce over the first layer of batter. Top with the remaining brownie batter, spreading it gently over the caramel layer.
06 - Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are set and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.
07 - If desired, sprinkle sea salt flakes over the top of the brownies right after removing them from the oven for a sweet and salty contrast.
08 - Let the brownies cool completely in the pan before slicing into squares and serving.

Notes:

01 - Tip: For extra gooey brownies, slightly underbake them, allowing them to be fudgy in the center.
