Cookie Dough Brownie Bombs (Print Version)

Ingredients:

01 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened.
02 - 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed.
03 - 1/4 cup granulated sugar.
04 - 1/2 tsp vanilla extract.
05 - 1 cup all-purpose flour.
06 - 1/4 tsp salt.
07 - 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips.
08 - 1 box (15 oz) brownie mix.
09 - Ingredients for brownie mix (eggs, oil, water).
10 - 1 cup chocolate chips, for melting.

Instructions:

01 - In a medium bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
02 - Mix in the vanilla extract.
03 - Gradually add flour and salt, mixing until just combined.
04 - Fold in the mini chocolate chips.
05 - Roll the cookie dough into 1-inch balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Freeze for at least 30 minutes.
06 - Preheat oven according to the brownie mix instructions or prepare your homemade brownie batter.
07 - Prepare the brownie mix as instructed, mixing in eggs, oil, and water.
08 - Dip each frozen cookie dough ball into the brownie batter, ensuring it is fully coated, then place the coated balls back on the parchment-lined baking sheet.
09 - Bake according to the brownie mix instructions, typically 10-12 minutes, or until the brownie coating is set and slightly cracked.
10 - Let the brownie bombs cool on the baking sheet for 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
11 - Optional: Melt 1 cup of chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl or using a double boiler. Dip each brownie bomb into the melted chocolate and place them back on the parchment paper to set.

Notes:

01 - Chill the cookie dough balls in the freezer for at least 30 minutes before coating in brownie batter for easier handling.
02 - For an extra indulgent treat, dip the baked brownie bombs in melted chocolate and let them set for a double chocolate coating.
