Chocolate Orange Cake (Print Version)

Ingredients:

01 - 1½ cups all-purpose flour.
02 - ½ cup cocoa powder.
03 - 1 tsp baking powder.
04 - ½ tsp baking soda.
05 - ½ tsp salt.
06 - 1 cup sugar.
07 - ½ cup vegetable oil.
08 - 2 eggs.
09 - 1 tsp vanilla extract.
10 - Zest of 1 orange.
11 - ½ cup freshly squeezed orange juice.
12 - ½ cup buttermilk.
13 - ½ cup chocolate chips.

Instructions:

01 - Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
02 - In a bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
03 - In a separate bowl, mix the sugar and vegetable oil until smooth. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract, orange zest, freshly squeezed orange juice, and buttermilk.
04 - Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
05 - Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
