Santa Face Cupcakes (Print Version)

Ingredients:

01 - 1 box favorite cake mix (plus ingredients as per box instructions).
02 - 1 cup unsalted butter, softened.
03 - 4 cups powdered sugar.
04 - 2 tsp vanilla extract.
05 - 2-3 tbsp milk.
06 - Red food coloring.
07 - Mini marshmallows.
08 - Mini chocolate chips.
09 - Red candies (for Santa’s nose).
10 - White candy pearls or sprinkles.

Instructions:

01 - Prepare cupcakes following the instructions on the cake mix box. Allow cupcakes to cool completely.
02 - In a mixing bowl, beat softened butter until creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar, one cup at a time, mixing well after each addition. Add vanilla extract and milk; beat until light and fluffy. Adjust milk for desired frosting consistency.
03 - Divide the frosting into two bowls. Color one bowl red using red food coloring for Santa’s hat; leave the other bowl white for Santa’s beard and trim.
04 - Frost the top half of each cupcake with red frosting to create Santa’s hat. Use white frosting for Santa’s beard and the trim of the hat.
05 - Add a mini marshmallow at the top of the red frosting for Santa’s hat pom-pom. Use mini chocolate chips to create eyes, a red candy for Santa’s nose, and white candy pearls or sprinkles to complete the festive look.
