Crumbl Pink Donut Cookies (Print Version)

Ingredients:

01 - 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour.
02 - 1 tsp baking powder.
03 - ¼ tsp salt.
04 - ½ cup unsalted butter, softened.
05 - ½ cup granulated sugar.
06 - ¼ cup packed brown sugar.
07 - 1 large egg.
08 - 1 tsp vanilla extract.
09 - ¼ cup milk.
10 - 1 cup powdered sugar (for frosting).
11 - 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened (for frosting).
12 - 2 tbsp milk (for frosting).
13 - ¼ tsp vanilla extract (for frosting).
14 - Pink food coloring (optional, for frosting color).

Instructions:

01 - Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
03 - In a large bowl, beat softened butter with granulated sugar and brown sugar until creamy.
04 - Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
05 - Gradually mix in the dry ingredients, alternating with the milk until combined.
06 - Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough and place them on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
07 - Flatten each ball slightly with the back of a spoon.
08 - Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
09 - Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
10 - In a bowl, mix powdered sugar, softened butter, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
11 - Add pink food coloring if desired and mix until well combined.
12 - Once the cookies are completely cooled, spread frosting on top.
