Pumpkin Danish (Print Version)

Ingredients:

01 - 1 package puff pastry (thawed).
02 - ½ cup pumpkin puree.
03 - ¼ cup granulated sugar.
04 - 1 teaspoon pumpkin spice.
05 - 4 oz cream cheese, softened.
06 - ¼ cup powdered sugar.
07 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
08 - 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash).
09 - Powdered sugar (for dusting).

Instructions:

01 - Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - In a bowl, mix the pumpkin puree, granulated sugar, and pumpkin spice until smooth.
03 - In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until creamy.
04 - Roll out the thawed puff pastry and cut it into squares.
05 - Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each pastry square, followed by a spoonful of the pumpkin mixture.
06 - Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling to create a neat shape.
07 - Brush the edges of the pastry with the beaten egg wash.
08 - Bake the pastries for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown.
09 - Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes:

01 - Tip: Serve warm with a drizzle of caramel sauce for extra indulgence.
02 - These danishes freeze well; simply reheat them in the oven when ready to enjoy.
