Cream Cheese Muffins (Print Version)

Ingredients:

01 - 2 cups all-purpose flour.
02 - 1 cup granulated sugar.
03 - 1 tbsp baking powder.
04 - 1/2 tsp salt.
05 - 1 tsp ground cinnamon.
06 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted.
07 - 1 cup milk.
08 - 2 large eggs.
09 - 1 tsp vanilla extract.
10 - 8 oz cream cheese, softened.
11 - 1/4 cup powdered sugar.
12 - 1 tbsp cinnamon sugar mixture (for topping).
13 - Optional: 1/4 cup white chocolate, melted (for drizzle).

Instructions:

01 - Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a muffin tray with paper liners.
02 - In a large mixing bowl, combine the dry ingredients: flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon. Mix well.
03 - In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
04 - Gently fold the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring just until incorporated.
05 - In another small bowl, mix the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until a smooth paste forms.
06 - Spoon the muffin batter halfway into each liner. Add a dollop of cream cheese filling in the center, then cover with more batter.
07 - Generously sprinkle the tops with the cinnamon sugar mixture.
08 - Bake for 18-20 minutes, until golden and a tester inserted in the batter comes out clean.
09 - Let the muffins cool briefly in the tin, then transfer to a rack. Drizzle with melted white chocolate if desired, then serve.

Notes:

01 - These gooey cinnamon muffins feature a sweet cream cheese center, making them an irresistible treat for breakfast or a snack.
02 - Optional white chocolate drizzle adds an extra touch of sweetness.
03 - Be careful not to overmix the batter for fluffier muffins.
