Peanut Butter Spider Cookies (Print Version)

Ingredients:

01 - 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter.
02 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened.
03 - 1/2 cup granulated sugar.
04 - 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed.
05 - 1 large egg.
06 - 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour.
07 - 3/4 tsp baking soda.
08 - 1/4 tsp salt.
09 - 24 mini chocolate peanut butter cups.
10 - 48 candy eyes.
11 - 1/4 cup chocolate chips, melted (for piping legs).

Instructions:

01 - Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - In a bowl, cream the peanut butter, butter, and sugars together until fluffy.
03 - Add the egg, mixing until combined.
04 - In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
05 - Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
06 - Scoop dough and form into 1-inch balls, placing them on the baking sheet.
07 - Bake for 8-10 minutes or until lightly golden. Let them cool slightly.
08 - Press a peanut butter cup into the center of each cookie while still warm.
09 - Use melted chocolate to pipe legs onto each cookie and attach candy eyes.

Notes:

01 - Let the cookies cool for a few minutes before adding the peanut butter cups to prevent them from melting.
02 - Use melted chocolate in a piping bag or zip-lock bag with a snipped corner to draw legs for the spiders.
