Pumpkin Twists (Print Version)

Ingredients:

01 - 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed).
02 - 1/2 cup pumpkin puree.
03 - 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened.
04 - 1/4 cup powdered sugar.
05 - 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice.
06 - 1 egg (for egg wash).
07 - 1 tbsp sugar (for sprinkling).

Instructions:

01 - Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - In a mixing bowl, combine pumpkin puree, cream cheese, powdered sugar, and pumpkin pie spice. Mix until smooth.
03 - On a floured surface, roll out the thawed puff pastry sheet to smooth it out.
04 - Cut the pastry into strips (about 1 inch wide) using a sharp knife or pizza cutter.
05 - Place a spoonful of the pumpkin filling along one side of each strip.
06 - Fold the other side over the filling and twist the pastry to create a spiral shape.
07 - Beat the egg and brush it over each twist. Sprinkle with sugar.
08 - Place the twists on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
09 - Let the twists cool slightly before serving.
