Salted Caramel Cookie Bars (Print Version)
Ingredients:

1 cup unsalted butter, softened.

1 cup brown sugar, packed.

1/2 cup granulated sugar.

2 large eggs.

2 teaspoons vanilla extract.

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour.

1 teaspoon baking soda.

1/2 teaspoon salt.

1 cup chocolate chips.

1/2 cup salted caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade).

Sea salt for topping.
Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.

In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

Mix in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients until just combined.

Gently fold in the chocolate chips.

Spread half of the cookie dough evenly in the prepared pan. Drizzle half of the salted caramel sauce over the dough.

Drop spoonfuls of the remaining cookie dough on top of the caramel layer. Drizzle with the remaining caramel sauce and sprinkle with sea salt.

Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean.
