Slow Cooker Broccoli Beef (Print Version)

Ingredients:

01 - 1.5 lbs beef sirloin, thinly sliced.
02 - 2 cups broccoli florets.
03 - 1 cup beef broth.
04 - 1/2 cup soy sauce.
05 - 1/4 cup brown sugar.
06 - 1/4 cup hoisin sauce.
07 - 3 cloves garlic, minced.
08 - 1 tbsp fresh ginger, minced.
09 - 2 tbsp cornstarch.
10 - 2 tbsp water.
11 - 1 tbsp olive oil.

Instructions:

01 - In a bowl, mix beef broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, hoisin sauce, garlic, and ginger.
02 - Place sliced beef in the slow cooker and pour the sauce mixture over it. Stir to coat the beef evenly.
03 - Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours, or until beef is tender.
04 - About 30 minutes before serving, add broccoli florets to the slow cooker. Stir to combine.
05 - In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry. Stir the slurry into the slow cooker to thicken the sauce. Continue cooking for the remaining 30 minutes.
06 - Serve over rice or noodles for a satisfying meal!.
