Chorizo Pizza (Print Version)

Ingredients:

01 - 1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade).
02 - 1 cup tomato sauce.
03 - 1 to 1.5 cups shredded mozzarella cheese.
04 - 10–20 slices chorizo sausage (mild or spicy).
05 - Olive oil (for brushing).
06 - 1 tsp dried oregano (optional).
07 - ½ tsp garlic powder (optional).
08 - Fresh basil leaves or parsley (for garnish, optional).

Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, preheat it with the oven.
02 - Roll out pizza dough to desired thickness on a floured surface. Transfer to a baking sheet or pizza peel.
03 - Spread tomato sauce evenly over the pizza dough, leaving a small border for the crust.
04 - Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the tomato sauce.
05 - Arrange chorizo slices on top of the cheese.
06 - Lightly brush the crust with olive oil. Sprinkle oregano and garlic powder over the pizza, if desired.
07 - If using a pizza stone, slide the pizza onto the stone and bake for 10–12 minutes. If using a baking sheet, bake for 12–15 minutes until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
08 - Remove pizza from the oven, cool slightly, garnish with basil or parsley, slice into 8 pieces, and serve immediately.
