Monte Cristo Sandwich (Print Version)
Ingredients:

6 slices bread (white or brioche).

4 slices Swiss cheese.
03 -
4 slices turkey breast.
04 -
4 slices ham.
05 -
2 large eggs.

1/2 cup milk.
07 -
1/4 cup flour.
08 -
1/4 tsp salt.
09 -
1/4 tsp black pepper.
10 -
2 tbsp unsalted butter.

Powdered sugar (for dusting).

Raspberry or strawberry jam (for serving).
Instructions:

Layer 1 slice of Swiss cheese, 2 slices turkey, 2 slices ham, and another slice of Swiss cheese between two slices of bread. Repeat with remaining ingredients to make 3 sandwiches.

In a bowl, whisk together 2 large eggs, 1/2 cup milk, 1/4 cup flour, 1/4 tsp salt, and 1/4 tsp black pepper until smooth.

In a large skillet, melt 2 tbsp unsalted butter over medium heat.

Dip each sandwich in the egg mixture, coating both sides. Place in the skillet and cook until golden brown on each side, about 3-4 minutes per side.

Dust with powdered sugar and serve with raspberry or strawberry jam for dipping.
