Ingredients:

Instructions:

Beat softened butter and confectioner's sugar until light and fluffy (approx. 3 minutes).

Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until fully incorporated.

Gradually add in the flour, mixing thoroughly.

Stir in the chopped walnuts and candied cherries using a wooden spoon.

Shape dough into an 18-inch log on parchment paper, wrap tightly, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

Preheat oven to 325°F and line a baking sheet with parchment or silicone mat.

Slice the dough into 1/4-inch thick pieces and place on the baking sheet about 1 inch apart.
