Air Fryer Apple Fries (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Apple Fries

01 - 3 large Gala apples
02 - 1 cup all-purpose flour
03 - 3 large eggs, beaten
04 - 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
05 - ¼ cup granulated sugar
06 - Vegetable oil spray

→ Caramel Dipping Sauce

07 - 1 container caramel sauce

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat air fryer to 380°F. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Peel, core, and cut each apple into 8 wedges for a total of 24 pieces.
02 - Set up three stations: Place flour in a medium bowl. Beat eggs and pour into a shallow dish. In a second shallow dish, combine graham cracker crumbs and sugar, stirring to blend.
03 - Working with one apple wedge at a time, first toss in flour to coat, then dredge in beaten eggs, and finally roll in the graham cracker-sugar mixture until completely coated. Place each coated wedge on the prepared cookie sheet.
04 - Lightly coat the bottom of the air fryer basket with oil spray. This prevents sticking and helps achieve a golden, crispy coating.
05 - Place apple wedges in a single layer in the air fryer basket without overlapping. Spray tops lightly with oil. Air fry at 380°F for 5 minutes, then flip and cook for an additional 2 minutes until golden and crispy. Repeat with remaining batches.
06 - Pour caramel sauce into a serving bowl and microwave until warm. Serve apple fries hot with warm caramel sauce for dipping.

# Notes:

01 - Gala apples work best for their sweet flavor and firm texture that holds up during cooking
02 - Don't overcrowd the air fryer basket - cooking in batches ensures even crisping
03 - The graham cracker coating creates a sweet, crunchy exterior similar to cinnamon sugar
04 - Serve immediately while hot and crispy for the best texture
