Air Fryer Hot Chicken Wraps (Print Version)

Chicken, deli ham, and Swiss folded into a tortilla and air fried until golden and crispy, a fast handheld dinner ready in about 25 minutes.

# Ingredients:

→ For the filling

01 - 2 cups (about 300 g) cooked shredded or diced chicken breast (rotisserie chicken works well)
02 - 8 slices deli chicken ham or Black Forest ham, roughly chopped
03 - 8 slices Swiss cheese (or 1 1/2 cups shredded)
04 - 1/4 cup (60 g) mayonnaise
05 - 2 tablespoons dijon mustard
06 - Salt and black pepper, to taste

→ For the wraps

07 - 4 burrito-size (10-inch / 25 cm) flour tortillas
08 - 2 tablespoons olive oil, for brushing

# Instructions:

01 - Stir the mayonnaise and dijon mustard together with a pinch of salt and pepper. Toss half of the sauce with the shredded chicken; set the rest aside.
02 - Lay each tortilla flat on a clean surface. Cut one straight line from the outer edge to the center point only, dividing the tortilla into four workable sections without cutting all the way through.
03 - Working clockwise, pile the saucy chicken onto one section, the chopped ham onto the next, the Swiss cheese onto the third, and spread the remaining sauce over the last section.
04 - Fold the chicken section up and over the ham section. Fold that stack over the cheese section, then fold the whole stack over the sauce section, pressing firmly to seal into a tight folded square.
05 - Brush both sides of each folded wrap with olive oil. Place seam-side down in a single layer in the preheated air fryer basket and cook at 400°F (200°C) for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway, until deep golden, crisp, and the cheese has melted through.
06 - Let the wraps rest for 2 minutes, then slice in half and serve while the center is still steaming hot.

# Notes:

01 - Serve immediately for the crispiest shell and gooiest cheese.
02 - The first fold takes a try or two to get even; it gets easier fast after that.
