Baked Rainbow Trout with Lemon, Pepper, and Garlic (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 pound rainbow trout
02 - 1 pound asparagus
03 - 3 tablespoons olive oil
04 - 5 cloves garlic, minced
05 - ½ teaspoon salt
06 - ½ teaspoon cracked black pepper
07 - ½ lemon, sliced

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 400°F.
02 - Line a rimmed small baking sheet with parchment paper.
03 - Place rainbow trout skin side down in the center of the baking sheet. Brush half of the olive oil over the top of the trout.
04 - Toss the asparagus (ends trimmed) with the remaining half of the olive oil. Arrange asparagus around the trout on the baking sheet.
05 - Sprinkle the trout and asparagus with salt and pepper. Add minced garlic on top of the trout fillet and asparagus. Top with lemon slices.
06 - Bake for about 15 minutes at 400°F in the preheated oven until the trout is cooked through.
07 - Remove from the oven. Remove lemon slices from the trout before serving.
