Banana Cinnamon Rolls (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - ¾ cup warm milk (110°F).
02 - 2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast (1 packet).
03 - 1 large egg, lightly beaten.
04 - ⅔ cup mashed bananas (about 2 bananas).
05 - 5 ¼ cups all-purpose flour.
06 - 1 tsp salt.
07 - ¼ cup granulated sugar.
08 - 10 tbsp unsalted butter, cubed.
09 - ½ cup unsalted butter, softened (for filling).
10 - ¾ cup brown sugar (for filling).
11 - 1 tbsp ground cinnamon (for filling).
12 - 2 bananas, sliced thin (for filling).
13 - 4 oz cream cheese, softened (for icing).
14 - 4 tbsp unsalted butter, softened (for icing).
15 - 1 cup powdered sugar (for icing).
16 - 1 tsp vanilla extract (for icing).

# Instructions:

01 - Warm the milk to 110°F and sprinkle the yeast on top. Let sit for 10 minutes until frothy.
02 - In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and salt. Add the cubed butter and mix until crumbly. Pour in the yeast mixture, egg, and mashed bananas. Knead the dough for 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
03 - Cover the dough with a clean cloth and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
04 - In a bowl, beat together the softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Set aside.
05 - After the dough has risen, roll it out into a large rectangle. Spread the cinnamon-banana filling evenly over the dough, then layer thinly sliced bananas on top.
06 - Roll the dough tightly into a log and slice into 12 rolls. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise for 20 minutes.
07 - Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the rolls for 28-33 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
08 - While the rolls bake, beat the softened cream cheese and butter together. Mix in the powdered sugar and vanilla extract until smooth.
09 - Spread the cream cheese icing over the warm rolls and enjoy!.
