Banana Mug Cake (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - ½ ripe banana, mashed
02 - 1 Tablespoon melted butter or oil (regular or vegan)
03 - 1½ Tablespoons granulated sugar
04 - 1 Tablespoon milk (regular or vegan)
05 - ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
06 - Pinch of salt
07 - ½ teaspoon baking powder
08 - ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
09 - ¼ cup all-purpose flour
10 - 3-4 Tablespoons semisweet chocolate chips

# Instructions:

01 - Add the mashed banana to a microwave-safe mug. Mix in the melted butter, sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until combined. Add the flour, salt, cinnamon, and baking powder, then mix. Stir in the chocolate chips and optionally sprinkle a few on top. Microwave for 45-65 seconds, adjusting based on your microwave power. Ensure the cake is slightly shiny on top and not overcooked. Let cool for 2 minutes before serving with desired toppings.
02 - Preheat the oven to 350°F. Follow the same instructions to prepare the batter, using an oven-safe mug or ramekin. Bake for 22-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow the mug cake to cool for 5 minutes before enjoying.

# Notes:

01 - Use a microwave-safe mug for the microwave method and avoid overfilling, as the batter may spill over while baking.
02 - For variations, substitute all-purpose flour with whole wheat, oat, or gluten-free baking flour at a 1-1 ratio.
03 - Microwave times may vary; start with 40 seconds and increase incrementally.
