Brown Butter Cookies (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cut into pieces.
02 - 1/2 cup granulated sugar.
03 - 1/4 cup packed light brown sugar.
04 - 1 large egg, room temperature.
05 - 1 tsp vanilla extract.
06 - 1 cup all-purpose flour.
07 - 1/2 tsp baking soda.
08 - 1/2 tsp salt.
09 - Extra sugar for rolling.

# Instructions:

01 - Heat butter in light-colored pan over medium heat. Stir constantly until golden brown (5-6 minutes). Pour into bowl immediately and chill 45 minutes until solid.
02 - Mix browned butter with both sugars for 2 minutes. Add egg and vanilla, mix well. Stir in flour, baking soda, and salt until just combined. Scoop into 2 tbsp balls and chill dough 1 hour or overnight.
03 - Heat oven to 350°F. Roll dough balls in sugar. Place 6 cookies per sheet, 3 inches apart. Bake 11-13 minutes until edges brown. Cool 5 minutes on pan, then move to cooling rack.
