# Ingredients:

01 - 1 pound lean ground beef (or ground turkey or sausage)
02 - 1 small onion, diced
03 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
04 - 1 can (15 ounces) pizza sauce
05 - 1 package (12 ounces) refrigerated biscuit dough (like Pillsbury Grands), cut into quarters
06 - 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
07 - 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional for extra cheesiness)
08 - 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni
09 - 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
10 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
11 - Salt and pepper to taste
12 - Cooking spray for greasing the baking dish

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Spray a 9×13 inch baking dish with cooking spray.
02 - In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with onion and garlic until meat is no longer pink and onions are soft. Drain any excess fat from the pan.
03 - Add pizza sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt and pepper to the meat mixture. Stir well to combine everything.
04 - Gently fold the quartered biscuit dough pieces into the sauce mixture until they're evenly coated.
05 - Spread half the biscuit and meat mixture in the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle with half the mozzarella, cheddar, and pepperoni. Repeat layers with remaining ingredients.
06 - Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until the biscuits have puffed up, turned golden brown, and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
07 - Let the casserole rest for about 5 minutes before cutting. This helps it set up for easier serving.
