Vanilla Buttermilk Pound Cake (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 cup soft butter (2 sticks), unsalted.
02 - 2½ cups white sugar.
03 - 4 large eggs, room temp.
04 - 3 cups sifted plain flour.
05 - ½ teaspoon baking soda.
06 - ½ teaspoon salt.
07 - 1 cup buttermilk, room temp.
08 - 1 tablespoon pure vanilla.
09 - 4 ounces soft cream cheese.
10 - 1 cup sifted powdered sugar.
11 - 2 tablespoons milk.
12 - ½ teaspoon vanilla for glaze.

# Instructions:

01 - Turn oven to 325°F and prepare your bundt pan with grease and flour or baking spray.
02 - Beat butter and sugar together until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.
03 - Mix in eggs one at a time, beating well after each one.
04 - Whisk flour, baking soda and salt in a separate bowl.
05 - Add dry mix and buttermilk to butter mixture bit by bit, starting and ending with dry mix.
06 - Stir in vanilla until batter looks smooth.
07 - Pour into pan and bake 60-75 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
08 - Let cake sit in pan 15 minutes, then flip onto a rack to cool completely.
09 - Beat cream cheese until smooth, mix in sugar, milk and vanilla until you can pour it.
10 - Pour glaze over cooled cake, letting it drip down the sides.

01 - Use room temperature ingredients for best mixing.
02 - Don't overmix when adding flour.
03 - Add more milk to thin glaze if needed.
