Calabacitas Con Carne Molida En Salsa Verde (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 lbs ground chuck (90/10 blend).
02 - Salt to taste.
03 - Onion powder to taste.
04 - Black pepper to taste.
05 - 1 1/2 cups water.
06 - 1 tablespoon chicken bouillon.
07 - 4 medium zucchini, sliced 1/8-inch thick.
08 - 3 ripe tomatoes.
09 - 2 fresh tomatillos.
10 - 3 serrano chilies.
11 - 2 cloves garlic.
12 - Fresh cilantro.

# Instructions:

01 - Boil tomatoes, tomatillos, and serranos until tender. Blend with garlic and cilantro.
02 - Brown ground chuck in its own fat. Season with garlic salt, onion powder, and pepper.
03 - Remove excess oil from meat.
04 - Add zucchini, water, bouillon, and salsa to meat. Season to taste.
05 - Cook on low for 10 minutes until zucchini is tender but still firm.

01 - Can adjust spiciness by varying amount of serranos.
