15 - 1 tsp vanilla extract.
16 - 1/3 cup whole milk.
17 - 1 medium apple, peeled and diced.

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
02 - In a saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar over medium heat until dissolved. Stir in cinnamon and nutmeg, then pour into the cake pan.
03 - Place thinly sliced apples over the caramel mixture in the cake pan. Refrigerate until ready to assemble.
04 - In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, and nutmeg.
05 - Beat softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, vanilla extract, and milk, mixing well.
