Easy Cherry Pie Bars (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 1 cup butter, softened
02 - 2 cups sugar
03 - 1 teaspoon salt
04 - 4 large eggs, room temperature
05 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
06 - ¼ teaspoon almond extract
07 - 3 cups all-purpose flour

→ Filling

08 - 2 cans (21 ounces each) cherry pie filling

→ Glaze

09 - 1 cup confectioners' sugar
10 - ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
11 - ½ teaspoon almond extract
12 - 2-3 tablespoons 2% milk

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F. Cream butter, sugar and salt until light and fluffy, 5-7 minutes. Beat in eggs one at a time, then add extracts. Gradually mix in flour
02 - Spread 3 cups of dough in greased 15x10x1-inch baking pan. Top with cherry pie filling. Drop remaining dough by teaspoonfuls over filling
03 - Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden brown. Cool completely in pan on wire rack
04 - Mix confectioners' sugar, extracts, and enough milk for desired consistency. Drizzle over cooled bars
