Chocolate Snowball Cookies (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened.
02 - 1/2 cup powdered sugar, plus extra for rolling.
03 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
04 - 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour.
05 - 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder.
06 - 1/2 teaspoon salt.
07 - 1 cup finely chopped pecans or walnuts (optional).
08 - 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips (optional).

# Instructions:

01 - Heat oven to 350°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
02 - Beat butter and powdered sugar until fluffy, then mix in vanilla.
03 - Whisk flour, cocoa powder, and salt, then mix into butter mixture.
04 - Fold in chopped nuts and chocolate chips if using.
05 - Roll tablespoons of dough into balls, place 1 inch apart on sheets.
06 - Bake 12-15 minutes until edges set and bottoms lightly browned.
07 - Let cool 5 minutes, then roll warm cookies in powdered sugar.
08 - Once completely cool, roll cookies in powdered sugar again.
