Preheat to 325°F. Line baking sheets with parchment.

Cream butter and sugars. Add egg, vanilla, molasses.

Whisk flour, cocoa, baking soda, salt. Add to wet ingredients.

Scoop dough, roll in sugar. Press gently to flatten.

10-11 minutes until edges set and tops cracked.

Once cool, dip in melted chocolate. Add toppings if desired.
