Christmas Crack Toffee (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 40 saltine crackers.
02 - 1 cup butter.
03 - 1 cup brown sugar, packed.
04 - 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips (Guittard or Ghirardelli recommended).
05 - 1/2 cup holiday sprinkles or sliced almonds.
06 - Cooking spray.

# Instructions:

01 - Cover a baking sheet with foil and spray with cooking spray, or use a silicone mat instead.
02 - Turn oven to 400°F.
03 - Put saltines in a single layer on your prepared pan.
04 - Heat butter and brown sugar in a pot until boiling. Let it boil for 3 minutes.
05 - Pour hot toffee over crackers and spread it around to cover them.
06 - Bake 3-5 minutes until bubbly.
07 - Take pan out and sprinkle on chocolate chips. Put back in oven 2-3 minutes to melt. Spread melted chocolate evenly.
08 - Add sprinkles while chocolate is wet. Let cool completely at room temp or in fridge before breaking into pieces.

# Notes:

01 - Can be made 5 days ahead.
02 - Avoid using Nestle chocolate chips as they don't melt reliably.
03 - An offset spatula works best for spreading.
