In a mixing bowl, beat softened butter until creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar, one cup at a time, mixing well after each addition. Add vanilla extract and milk; beat until light and fluffy. Adjust milk for desired frosting consistency.

Divide the frosting into two bowls. Color one bowl red using red food coloring for Santa’s hat; leave the other bowl white for Santa’s beard and trim.
