# Instructions:

01 - Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Clean and slice sweet potatoes into ½-inch rounds, leaving the skin on or peeling as desired.
02 - In a bowl, mix melted butter, cinnamon, salt, and pepper. Toss the sweet potato slices in the mixture until evenly coated.
03 - Arrange the coated slices in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake for 25-30 minutes until tender but still firm.
04 - In a separate bowl, combine maple syrup, chopped walnuts, additional cinnamon, and thyme to make the topping.
05 - Remove the sweet potatoes from the oven after 30 minutes. Spoon the maple-walnut mixture over each slice.
06 - Return the sweet potatoes to the oven for another 8-10 minutes until the topping caramelizes.
