Creamy Mashed Potatoes with Heavy Cream (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 3 1/2 pounds russet potatoes
02 - 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
03 - 3/4 cup milk
04 - 3/4 cup heavy cream
05 - 3 oz cream cheese, softened
06 - Salt and pepper to taste

→ Optional Garnish

07 - Sour cream
08 - Fresh thyme

# Instructions:

01 - Peel and cut potatoes into even chunks. Place in pot with cold salted water.
02 - Bring to boil, reduce to simmer. Cook 15-20 minutes until tender. Drain and return to hot pot.
03 - Heat milk, cream, and butter. Stir in cream cheese until smooth.
04 - Mash potatoes, gradually add warm cream mixture until smooth.
05 - Season with salt and pepper. Add optional garnishes.
