Crockpot French Onion Soup

# Ingredients:

4 large onions, thinly sliced.

6 cups beef broth.
03 -
2 tablespoons butter.

1 teaspoon sugar.
05 -
1 teaspoon dried thyme.

Salt and pepper to taste.

French bread slices, toasted.

2 cups Gruyère cheese, shredded.
# Instructions:

Cook onions, butter and sugar in crockpot on high 4 hours until caramelized.

Add broth, thyme, salt and pepper. Cook on low 4-5 hours.
03 -
Ladle into ovenproof bowls, top with bread and cheese.

Broil 2-3 minutes until cheese melts and bubbles.
