Crockpot French Onion Soup (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 4 large onions, thinly sliced.
02 - 6 cups beef broth.
03 - 2 tablespoons butter.
04 - 1 teaspoon sugar.
05 - 1 teaspoon dried thyme.
06 - Salt and pepper to taste.
07 - French bread slices, toasted.
08 - 2 cups Gruyère cheese, shredded.

# Instructions:

01 - Cook onions, butter and sugar in crockpot on high 4 hours until caramelized.
02 - Add broth, thyme, salt and pepper. Cook on low 4-5 hours.
03 - Ladle into ovenproof bowls, top with bread and cheese.
04 - Broil 2-3 minutes until cheese melts and bubbles.
