Deep Fried S'Mores (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ For the S'mores

01 - 8 graham cracker sheets
02 - 8 large marshmallows
03 - 4 Hershey's chocolate bars

→ For the Batter

04 - 1 1/2 cups pancake mix
05 - 1 large egg
06 - 1 cup milk
07 - 2 teaspoons vegetable oil
08 - Oil for frying (about 3 inches deep)

# Instructions:

01 - Heat 3 inches of oil in a deep pot to 375°F. In a bowl, mix pancake mix, egg, milk, and 2 teaspoons vegetable oil until most lumps are gone. Let the batter rest for 5 minutes.
02 - Break graham crackers in half. Place one half down, add a marshmallow on top, then half a chocolate bar, and finish with another graham cracker square. Repeat until all s'mores are assembled.
03 - Using tongs, dip each s'more into the batter, coating completely. Gently shake off any excess batter.
04 - Use tongs to carefully lower the battered s'mores into the hot oil. Hold them with tongs initially so they don't fall apart. Fry for 3-4 minutes until golden brown all over.
05 - Carefully remove with a slotted spoon and place on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil. Let cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.

# Notes:

01 - Fried s'mores are best served warm as the graham crackers become soggy when stored.
02 - Make sure the oil is at 375°F before frying for the best results.
03 - Hold the s'mores with tongs when first placing them in oil to prevent them from falling apart.
04 - Let the batter rest for 5 minutes to help it stick better to the s'mores.
