Homemade Lasagna (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 12 lasagna noodles, uncooked.
02 - 4 cups mozzarella cheese, divided.
03 - 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, divided.
04 - 3/4 tsp salt, more to taste.
05 - 1/2 lb lean ground beef.
06 - 1/2 lb Italian sausage.
07 - 1 yellow onion, diced.
08 - 2 garlic cloves, minced.
09 - 36 oz pasta sauce.
10 - 2 tbsp tomato paste.
11 - 1 tsp Italian seasoning.
12 - 2 cups ricotta cheese.
13 - 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped.
14 - 1 large egg, beaten.

# Instructions:

01 - Heat oven to 350°F.
02 - Boil noodles until al dente. Rinse, set aside.
03 - Brown meats, onion, and garlic. Drain fat.
04 - Add sauce ingredients and simmer for 5 minutes.
05 - Mix ricotta cheese, parsley, and beaten egg.
06 - Layer in 9x13 pan: 1 cup meat sauce, 3 noodles, 1/3 cheese mix, 1 cup meat sauce; repeat twice.
07 - Top with noodles and remaining sauce.
08 - Cover and bake for 45 minutes.
09 - Add remaining cheeses and bake uncovered for 15 minutes.
10 - Broil for 2-3 minutes for extra browning.
11 - Rest for 15 minutes before cutting for clean slices.
