Fettuccine Alfredo (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Pasta

01 - 1 lb fettuccine pasta

→ Alfredo Sauce

02 - 1/4 cup butter
03 - 1.5 cups milk
04 - 4 oz cream cheese
05 - 2 garlic cloves, minced
06 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
07 - 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
08 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
09 - 1/4 teaspoon pepper (optional)
10 - 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

→ Garnish

11 - Fresh chopped parsley

# Instructions:

01 - In a medium saucepan, add butter, milk, and cream cheese. Cook over medium heat and whisk until melted. Add the minced garlic, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Continue to whisk until smooth. Add the grated Parmesan cheese.
02 - Bring the sauce to a simmer and continue to cook for about 5-10 minutes, or until it starts to thicken.
03 - Bring a large pot of water to a boil and generously salt it. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions or until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
04 - Drain the pasta and toss it with the sauce. Gradually add reserved pasta water, a splash at a time, until your desired sauce consistency is reached. The pasta water will help thicken the sauce and ensure it clings to the pasta.
05 - Serve the pasta garnished with fresh chopped parsley and enjoy.
