Goat Cheese and Fig Puff Pastry Tarts (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - ½ batch puff pastry (homemade or store-bought).
02 - All-purpose flour for surface.
03 - 1 egg plus 1 teaspoon water for wash.
04 - 1 cup fig jam.
05 - ½ cup caramelized onions, chopped.
06 - 4 ounces goat cheese.
07 - 6-10 sprigs fresh thyme.

# Instructions:

01 - Heat oven to 400°F and line baking sheet with parchment.
02 - Roll dough to ⅛-inch thick on floured surface.
03 - Cut 2¾-inch circles, then make 2-inch indentations in centers.
04 - Brush with egg wash, add teaspoon of onions in centers.
05 - Bake 12 minutes until puffed but not golden.
06 - Add fig jam and goat cheese pieces to centers.
07 - Return to oven 5-8 minutes until golden.
08 - Cool slightly, top with fresh thyme leaves.

02 - Can skip caramelized onions.
