Gooey Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
02 - 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
03 - 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
04 - 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
05 - 1/2 cup butter, softened
06 - 1/2 cup granulated sugar
07 - 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
08 - 1 large egg
09 - 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
10 - 1 cup chocolate chips (half a 12 oz bag)

# Instructions:

01 - Line a square 9x9" dish with parchment paper or spray with cooking spray.
02 - Preheat the oven to 350°F.
03 - In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Stir until mixed well.
04 - In another mixing bowl, combine softened butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar. Mix with an electric mixer until well mixed.
05 - Add the egg and vanilla extract. Mix with the electric mixer until combined.
06 - Slowly add flour mixture to butter mixture, mixing as you go until it's all just combined. Do not overmix.
07 - Add chocolate chips and stir until combined.
08 - Spread cookie batter into the pan.
09 - Cook for 20-22 minutes or until golden and cooked to your desired crispiness.
10 - Once cool, remove from the baking dish and cut into 9 pieces.

# Notes:

01 - These bars are wonderfully gooey in the center with slightly crisp edges.
02 - For extra decadence, serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
