Ham Cheese Puff Pastry (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 puff pastry sheets.
02 - ¾ pound ham, cut into small cubes.
03 - 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese.
04 - 1 egg plus 1 tablespoon water (for egg wash).

# Instructions:

01 - Let puff pastry thaw at room temperature.
02 - Heat oven to 400°F.
03 - Place one pastry sheet on greased baking sheet.
04 - Layer ham and cheese on pastry, leaving a 1-inch border.
05 - Make egg wash: beat egg with water.
06 - Brush egg wash on pastry edges.
07 - Top with second pastry sheet and press edges to seal.
08 - Cut vents in top and brush with remaining egg wash.
09 - Bake for 20 minutes until golden.
10 - Cool slightly before cutting into 8 pieces. Serve warm.
