Italian Sausage Soup (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 pound Italian sausage.
02 - 1 medium onion, chopped.
03 - 4 cloves garlic, minced.
04 - 1 (28 oz) can crushed tomatoes.
05 - 4 cups beef broth.
06 - 1 medium red bell pepper, chopped.
07 - 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning.
08 - 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano.
09 - 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes.
10 - 1.5 cups rotini pasta.
11 - 1/4 cup fresh basil.
12 - Salt and pepper to taste.
13 - Parmesan cheese for serving.

# Instructions:

01 - Sauté sausage and onions in Dutch oven until golden, 7-10 minutes. Drain excess fat.
02 - Stir in garlic, cook 30 seconds.
03 - Add tomatoes, broth, pepper, and seasonings. Bring to boil.
04 - Add pasta, simmer covered 15 minutes until pasta is done. Stir occasionally.
05 - Add basil, season with salt and pepper. Top with parmesan.

# Notes:

01 - Cook pasta separately for leftovers.
02 - Add more broth if too thick.
03 - Can use ground sausage or remove from casings.
