Jamaican Sorrel Drink (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 3 cups dried sorrel (hibiscus).
02 - 3/4 pound fresh ginger, grated.
03 - 10 whole cloves.
04 - 10 allspice berries.
05 - 2 1/2 cups sugar.

# Instructions:

01 - Boil water. Add sorrel, ginger, cloves, allspice for 8 minutes.
02 - Cool and refrigerate 8 hours to 3 days.
03 - Filter through fine mesh strainer, pressing solids.
04 - Make simple syrup. Add gradually to taste.

# Notes:

01 - Use box grater for ginger.
02 - Keeps 5 days refrigerated.
