Lasagna Roll Ups (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 12 lasagna noodles.
02 - 1 cup ricotta cheese.
03 - 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese.
04 - ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese.
05 - 1 large egg.
06 - 1 cup cooked ground beef or Italian sausage (optional).
07 - 2 teaspoons garlic paste or minced garlic.
08 - 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil.
09 - 1 teaspoon Italian seasonings.
10 - ½ teaspoon salt.
11 - ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper.
12 - 2 cups marinara sauce.
13 - ½ cup grated mozzarella cheese for topping.

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 375°F. Cook lasagna noodles until al dente, drain and lay on clean towel.
02 - Mix ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, garlic, basil, seasonings, salt and pepper. Add meat if using.
03 - Spread 1 cup marinara sauce in 9x13-inch baking dish.
04 - Spread 2-3 tablespoons cheese mixture on each noodle. Roll up tightly and place seam-side down in dish.
05 - Pour remaining marinara over rolls. Sprinkle with ½ cup mozzarella.
06 - Cover with foil, bake 25 minutes. Uncover, bake 5 more minutes until bubbly. Rest before serving.

# Notes:

01 - Can be made ahead and refrigerated.
02 - Keep noodles al dente for easier rolling.
03 - Can be made vegetarian by omitting meat.
