Lemon Garlic Butter Baked Cod (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ For the Fish

01 - 4 cod fillets, about 6 ounces each
02 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
03 - Salt and pepper to taste

→ For the Lemon Garlic Butter

04 - 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
05 - 4 garlic cloves, minced
06 - Zest and juice of 1 lemon
07 - 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

# Instructions:

01 - Heat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
02 - Place cod fillets on the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and season generously with salt and pepper.
03 - In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned. Remove from heat and stir in lemon zest and juice.
04 - Spoon the garlic butter mixture evenly over each cod fillet. Sprinkle with the chopped fresh parsley.
05 - Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until fish flakes easily with a fork and is opaque throughout.
06 - Serve immediately, spooning any remaining buttery sauce from the pan over the fillets. Pairs well with roasted vegetables or a fresh salad.
