Levain Bakery Chocolate Chip Cookies (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour.
02 - 2 cups brown sugar (packed).
03 - 1 stick (1/2 cup) unsalted butter, cold.
04 - 1 large egg, cold.
05 - 1 tablespoon cornstarch.
06 - 1/2 teaspoon baking soda.
07 - Pinch salt.
08 - 1 1/2 cups chocolate chunks.
09 - 1/2 cup chopped walnuts.

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F. Line baking sheets with parchment.
02 - Beat cold butter and sugar. Add vanilla and egg, mix briefly.
03 - Mix in flour, cornstarch, baking soda and salt until soft dough forms.
04 - Beat in chocolate and walnuts briefly.
05 - Drop 1/4 cup portions of dough. Keep shape rough.
06 - Bake 12-14 minutes until golden. Cool fully. Top with sea salt.

01 - Use cold ingredients for thickness.
02 - Can swap nuts for more chocolate.
03 - Chill dough if spreading too much.
