Maple Sweet Potatoes (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 5 sweet potatoes, peeled and sliced 1/2 inch thick.
02 - 1/2 cup salted butter.
03 - 1 teaspoon maple extract.
04 - 2 tablespoons water.
05 - 1 cup brown sugar.
06 - 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon.
07 - 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg.
08 - 2 tablespoons caramel sauce.
09 - 1 teaspoon sea salt.
10 - 1 cup pecans.
11 - 1/2 cup maple syrup.
12 - 1/4 cup brown sugar.

# Instructions:

01 - Brown butter in a saucepan over medium heat, about 4 minutes.
02 - Remove from heat. Whisk in maple extract, water, brown sugar, spices, and caramel. Cook 10 minutes on low.
03 - Heat oven to 375°F. Layer potato slices in a greased dish.
04 - Pour maple butter sauce over potatoes. Cover with foil.
05 - Bake for 1 hour until tender.
06 - Heat maple syrup and sugar until bubbling. Add pecans, cook for 8 minutes.
07 - Spread pecans on parchment paper to cool.
08 - Top cooked potatoes with pecans and sea salt. Serve warm.
