Milky Way Fudge (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 3 cups (18 oz) semi-sweet chocolate chips
02 - 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
03 - ¼ cup unsalted butter
04 - 1 tsp vanilla extract
05 - 4 regular Milky Way bars, chopped
06 - ¼ cup caramel sauce (optional, for drizzling)

# Instructions:

01 - Line an 8x8 inch square baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal later.
02 - In a medium saucepan, combine the chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter. Melt over low heat, stirring constantly until smooth and fully combined. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
03 - Reserve about ¼ of the chopped Milky Way pieces for topping. Fold the remaining Milky Way pieces into the chocolate mixture, working quickly while the mixture is still warm.
04 - Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly with a spatula. Press the reserved Milky Way pieces onto the top of the fudge. If desired, drizzle with caramel sauce.
05 - Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until the fudge is completely set. Once set, lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment paper overhang. Cut into 1-inch squares with a sharp knife. Store in an airtight container.

# Notes:

01 - For cleaner cuts, run your knife under hot water and wipe dry between slices.
02 - This fudge can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week, or in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
03 - If you prefer firmer fudge, store it in the refrigerator.
04 - You can substitute other candy bars like Snickers or Twix for a different flavor variation.
