01 -
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.
02 -
Open the can of refrigerated crescent rolls and carefully unroll the dough on a clean work surface. Separate the dough along the perforated lines to create 8 triangles.
03 -
Spread approximately 2 teaspoons of Nutella onto each triangle of dough, leaving a small border around the edges to prevent the filling from oozing out during baking.
04 -
If desired, sprinkle any optional add-ins like chopped hazelnuts on top of the Nutella layer.
05 -
Starting from the wider end of each triangle, gently roll the dough toward the pointed end to form a crescent shape. Slightly curve the ends to create the classic crescent roll shape.
06 -
Place the rolled crescents on the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each one for expansion during baking.
07 -
Bake in the preheated oven for 12 minutes, or until the crescents are golden brown and the dough is fully cooked.
08 -
Remove from the oven and, if desired, drizzle with melted chocolate chips and dust with powdered sugar while still warm.
09 -
Serve warm for the best taste and texture. The Nutella will be slightly melted and gooey inside the flaky pastry.
