Gnocchi Tomato Sauce (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 tablespoon olive oil.
02 - 8 oz crimini mushrooms, sliced.
03 - 15 oz Italian sausage, crumbled.
04 - 16 oz uncooked gnocchi.
05 - 5 cloves garlic, minced.
06 - ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning.
07 - Red pepper flakes to taste.
08 - 13 oz tomato sauce or marinara.
09 - ½ cup chicken broth or water.
10 - 6 oz fresh spinach.
11 - Salt and black pepper to taste.
12 - Fresh thyme for garnish.

# Instructions:

01 - Heat oil in large skillet on medium.
02 - Cook mushrooms for 3-5 minutes, then remove.
03 - Cook crumbled sausage for about 5 minutes.
04 - Drain excess fat.
05 - Add gnocchi, garlic, and seasonings to the pan.
06 - Pour in sauce and broth.
07 - Bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes.
08 - Add spinach and cook for 5 more minutes.
09 - Stir until spinach wilts.
10 - Season with salt and pepper.
11 - Top with cooked mushrooms and garnish with fresh thyme.

# Notes:

01 - Use sauce with tomato chunks for better texture.
02 - Any type of crumbled sausage works.
03 - Can use dried herbs mix containing rosemary, thyme, parsley, tarragon, marjoram, basil, and sage.
